Registration has opened for the European Biosafety Network summit in 2017, taking place on October 5 in the Italian Ministry of Health in Rome. All attendees must register their interest ahead of the Summit by completing a registration form which can be accessed here.  Attendance will be confirmed by email.

A number of speakers, including representatives of the European Commission, EU-OSHA, the Italian Ministry of Health and Parliament, Nursing Associations, Trades Unions, Employers and European Member States, will address the audience. The Summit will focus on prevention of sharps injuries in healthcare and implementation and compliance with the European Sharps Directive, but also the issue of occupational exposure of healthcare workers to carcinogenic hazardous drugs, as part of the priorities contained in the European Commission’s new safety and health at work strategy and revisions to the Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive. The Summit is free to attend, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
